APPRAISALS:
IN HOUSE GIA CERTIFIED GEMOLOGIST

An appraisal is a formal document that describes your jewellery and states the current replacement value.

An appraisal should be updated every 3-5 years to reflect the present value of your jewellery.

Each item will be photographed and evaluated by our in-house GIA-certified gemologist.

There are three types of jewellery appraisals to choose from:

  1. Insurance value appraisal: This appraisal is used to determine the value of an item for insurance purposes. The value is usually a little higher to accommodate for changes in price of gold and gems.
  2. Estate value appraisal for probate: This type of appraisal is used to determine the value of jewelry for probate purposes. The value is usually lowest of lowest possible values.
  3. Cash value appraisal: This type of appraisal determines the worth of an item for immediate cash transactions. The value is typically lower than the market value, reflecting the urgency of the sale.
Our prices:
$195 for the first item
$95 for the second item
