APPRAISALS: IN-HOUSE GIA CERTIFIED GEMOLOGIST
An appraisal is a formal document that describes your jewellery and states the current replacement value.
An appraisal should be updated every 3-5 years to reflect the present value of your jewellery.
Each item will be photographed and evaluated by our in-house GIA-certified gemologist.
There are three types of jewellery appraisals to choose from:
- Insurance value appraisal: This appraisal is used to determine the value of an item for insurance purposes. The value is usually a little higher to accommodate for changes in price of gold and gems.
- Estate value appraisal for probate: This type of appraisal is used to determine the value of jewelry for probate purposes. The value is usually lowest of lowest possible values.
- Cash value appraisal: This type of appraisal determines the worth of an item for immediate cash transactions. The value is typically lower than the market value, reflecting the urgency of the sale.
$195 for the first item
$95 for the second item
